With a population of over one million people, Dallas is the ninth largest city in the United States. Because it is not located along one of the coasts, Dallas shows that the Midwest can offer just as much of an exciting urban experience as anywhere else in the United States.
About three months ago, I took a trip to Dallas for several days. One of my closest friends moved to Dallas just over a year ago, and this was the first opportunity that I had to go visit her. We talk on the phone and through email all of the time, but I was still really excited to get to spend time with her in person.
Because she has been living in Dallas for over a year, my friend was able to plan out lots of fun activities for us to do during my trip there. To begin with, she knows all of the best places to eat throughout Dallas, so I had quite a few great meals during those couple of days that I was in Dallas. Additionally, she goes out on a regular basis, so we got to spend our nights together at several really fun hot spots throughout the city of Dallas.
