For the majority of my childhood, Dallas was the city that I called home. However, once I graduated from high school, I moved away from Dallas to attend college at the University of Oklahoma. Although I always liked Dallas a lot, I was excited to go live in a different city. Not only was it the first time that I lived on my own, but it was also the first time for me to experience living in a completely different place.

After I graduated from the University of Oklahoma, I ended up moving back to Texas. However, instead of Dallas, I actually got a job in Houston. It took a little while to adjust from a small college town like Norman to a huge city like Houston, but I’m quite happy here now. Best of all, since my parents still live in Dallas, I live close enough to visit them on a regular basis. I can simply rent a car in Houston, and drive my rental car up the highway to Dallas. Although some people might choose to use their own car to drive from Houston to Dallas, I’ve found that getting a rental car helps me avoid racking up the miles on my own vehicle.
